USE:
N+보다 Korean grammar pattern is used to compare two or more nouns. It translates to 'in comparison to/ than Noun' in English.
CONJUGATION RULE:
N+보다 grammar is used with noun. It doesn't matter if the preceding noun had a consonant or vowel.
Let's try to understand this with an example:
인도는 한국보다 더 커요.
Let's break the words one by one.
- 인도 - India
- 한국- Korea
- 보다- In comparison or than
- 더- More
- 커요 - Big
Which translates to 'India is bigger than Korea.'
The same sentence can be written as 인도는 한국보다 커요 without 더 and it'll still mean the same but you can always add 더 to emphasize.
We can also change the word order of this sentence and write it like - 한국보다 인도는 더 커요. The meaning will still be same.
We just need to make sure that 보다 is attached to the word with which your are comparing (that word that comes after "than" in English sentence).
