By  Dr. Satish Satyarthi

Hangeul (or Hangul), the alphabet of  Korean language, is one of the easiest language scripts to learn. Korean script Hangeul has 40 letters including 10 simple consonants, 5 double consonants, 4 aspirated consonants, 10 simple vowels, and 11 complex vowels.

It has one of the most scientific and logical writing and phonetic systems.

Hangeul is so easy that one can easily learn to read and write it in 1 hour.

Especially for Indian learners, it is much more easier as Indian languages have almost all the sounds of Korean language.

Moreover, Hangeul characters are much easier to write than our Indian scripts. They are mostly made up of straight lines.

So without further ado, let me guide you how you can learn the beautiful Hangeul script in the easiest and most effective way possible.

If you are someone who wants to take things slow and just want to learn a few characters every day and reach a stage where you can read and write Korean properly in 15 days, you can click join our Free 15 day Hangeul Email Course

Obviously, you would need more practice to be able to read and write them quickly but still, you have made impressive progress.

Congratulations! You have reached a very important milestone in your Korean language learning journey.

Now that you have learned how to read and write Korean script Hangeul, you are ready to proceed to the next step in your Korean language journey.

Now the next step in your journey will depend on your goals and learning styles.

If you are still not sure if you want to go deep into Korean language and if you want to just start slow and learn at your own pace, you don't need to enroll in any paid course.

I would highly recommend you to go through the SNU level 1 Korean playlist on the LKI YouTube channel. That course is sufficient to give you a very solid foundation in Korean language.

But if you are really serious about Korean language and want to study or work in Korea in future then I would not advise you to learn through YouTube or other random resources.

As in that case, a properly structured course with a lot of class interaction and speaking practice and guidance from experienced teachers may be much more suitable for you.

And I may be obviously biased but I can personally assure you that it would be very difficult to find a better short term course than our Certificate Course in Korean - Level 1 in India.

The curriculum of this course is very comprehensive and we make sure that you learn Korean with some of the best Indian and native Korean instructors in the most student-centric environment possible.

I, personally, am available with all the other teachers of LKI to provide you all the guidance not only during the course but even after it's over - whether it's any doubt related to language, job search or scholarships.

Our aim is to help our students not just in learning Korean but also in achieving their career goals.
