The translation work can be done as a freelancer or as a full-time job in companies, but it's better to have level 4 to compete with other applicant and get a job easily. Because as TOPIK level 3 is the minimum a learner should have to get the job, most of the applicants would have that.

After translation work, the second most common job is to work as an interpreter. The requirement for this job is the same as the translation work. But in my opinion, this work needs more confidence and skills as one needs to interpret in real time from Korean to any other language and vice versa.

These days, many Korean companies are setting up their units in India. These companies need employees who know the Korean language to fill the language and communication gap, and who can help run their business smoothly. Most of the time importers and exporters don't know Korean so they hire people who have a good knowledge of the Korean language and Korean business to work with them or they hire a translator/interpreter translating the descriptions of goods from Korean to other language and vice versa.

Or if you have the knowledge of the Korean language, you can also carry your own import-export business easily with no language barrier.

Korean Embassy In India also releases certain jobs advertisements every few months for contract based jobs.

It can be a good opportunity to get experience and boost to your career. After doing such contract-based jobs, it will be easier for you not only to work in Korean companies in India but also in Korean companies in Korea compared to other Korean language learners with no such experience.

Most of the embassy jobs require TOPIK Level-4 or above.
