How to Say Sorry in Korean

In this lesson we will learn how to apologize in Korean. Korean is a rich and contextual language and there are so many ways to say anything depending on the context and the relation between speaker and listener. Following are the most common ways to say sorry in Korean language.

미안해요~ mian-haeyo

I’m sorry.

정말 죄송해요~ cheongmal chwsonghaeyo

I am really sorry.

제 잘못이에요~ che chalmoshiyeyo

It’s my fault.

다시는 안 그럴게요~ tashi-neun an kheureol-keyo

I won’t do it again.

제가 책임질게요~ chega chhaegim-chilkeyo

I will take the blame.

용서해주세요~ yongseohae-chuseyo

Please forgive me.

한 번만 봐주세요~ han beonman phwa-juseyo

Please let me off this once.

진심으로 사과드립니다~ chinshimeuro sagwa-deurimnida

I sincerely apologize.
