The Korean Education Centre in India (KEC), under the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, has announced registration for the 109th TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean). The exam will be held on Sunday, 15 November 2026 across four centres — Delhi, Bengaluru, Manipur and Chennai.
Registration for the Delhi and Bengaluru Centres opens on 12 August 2026 at 10:00 AM. The Chennai centre is run by InKo Centre, where registration opens earlier, on Thursday, 6 August 2026 at 10:00 AM while Manipur centre registration starts on 31st August 10AM.
Seats are limited and registration is strictly first come, first served. Have your photo, signature and ID proof resized and ready before the portal opens — seats at the Delhi centre have historically filled within minutes.

That is a total of 1,380 seats across the four centres — 650 for TOPIK I and 730 for TOPIK II.
Chennai (InKo Centre)
The Chennai centre is administered by InKo Centre in partnership with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea. Registration opens on Thursday, 6 August 2026 at 10:00 a.m. The exam is held at Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women, T. Nagar, with 100 seats each for TOPIK I and TOPIK II. Results are announced on 22 December 2026.

Documents You Need Before You Apply
Prepare these three files in advance. Uploading them at the last minute is the most common reason people lose their seat.

Photo and Name Requirements
- The name you enter in the registration form must exactly match the name on your identification card.
- Upload a recent passport-sized colour photograph with a clear, front-facing view.
- No blur, filters, shadows or obstructions.
- If the photograph does not meet these requirements, your application will be rejected.
Application Guidelines and Important Notes
Waiting Queue System
KEC has implemented a waiting queue system to handle heavy traffic when registration opens. If you are placed in the queue, wait patiently — do not refresh or close your browser, as this may affect your position.
Confirmation and Payment
- Submitting the application form does not guarantee registration.
- Only applicants who receive a confirmation email from KEC are considered successfully enrolled.
- Enter your email ID accurately. An application with an incorrect email address will be rejected.
- Payment details are shared only with confirmed applicants.
- Payments made by unconfirmed applicants, payments made before the registration date, or duplicate payments will not be refunded under any circumstances.
One Application Per Person
Filling out the registration form more than once — using different email IDs, phone numbers, altered date of birth formats, or any other method — is strictly prohibited and will result in serious penalties.
Reserve List
A total of 50 additional applications will be maintained as a reserve list. If a selected applicant is found to have discrepancies in their form — a blurred photograph, an incorrect email address, or any other inaccuracy — their application may be disqualified, and applicants from the reserve list will be considered instead.

Preparing for the 109th TOPIK
With the exam on 15 November 2026, you have roughly three months from registration to test day. If you are aiming for TOPIK I, focus on core grammar, high-frequency vocabulary and listening speed. For TOPIK II, writing practice is usually the difference between Level 4 and Level 5 — start drafting timed 200–300 character and 600–700 character responses early.
