You should be at upper intermediate level of Korean and should be comfortable in making conversations Korean on fairly complex topics.
You should have completed Level 3 from LKI or equivalent level from any other institution or through self-study.

COURSE CURRICULUM

Students complete excellent Level 5 curriculum from Ewha University, Seoul.
Students acquire language skills necessary for research and employment.
Students learn advanced Korean grammar and vocabulary used in text on complex topics like politics, society, economy, culture, news and literature.
Students cultivate advanced reading and writing skills through a variety of texts and topics.

HOW WILL THE COURSE BE CONDUCTED?

This course will be conducted in Hybrid mode (Recoded Lessons + Live Sessions).
The main curriculum of the course will be covered through recorded lessons. Every week 3-5 recorded lessons, covering 1 chapter from the textbook, will be uploaded to the course portal.
Students can go through these lessons anything during the week but the lessons must ideally be completed within the same week.
A detailed study notes PDF will also be uploaded along with recordings to help the students understand all the concepts properly.
If the students have any issue understanding any part or want to discuss about any concepts, the Telegram group will be open for the same and teacher will actively monitor and participate in the discussions.
There will be 2 or more live Zoom sessions every month to clear any doubts in person or for activities like - discussion, debate, presentation etc.
Weekly assignments will be shared and the students will be required to submit them in a timely manner.
The students must watch and complete minimum 75% of the uploaded lessons, attend minimum 60% of the live activity lessons and submit minimum 50% of the assignments to be eligible for a course completion certificate.
The certificate for this course will carry the same validity as the regular course, as students will meet the same academic standards and rigor in the hybrid mode.

About The Course Designer & Mentor - Dr. Satish Satyarthi

This course has been designed by Dr. Satish Satyarthi. He needs no introduction in the field of Korean language field in India. He is the founder of popular Korean language websites TOPIKGUIDE.COM and LKI. He has Bachelors, Masters, MPhil and PhD degrees, all in Korean language and linguistics. As a KGSP scholar at Seoul National University, his research area was 'Teaching Korean as a Foreign Language'. He taught for 2 years at Center for Korean Studies of Jawaharlal Nehru University. Currently he lives in Seoul, Korea and is involved in projects related to Korean language research and education. He has trained hundreds of students in Korean language from across the world.

The following general rules apply to all LKI students and courses. If a specific rule different from these general rules is specified for a particular course, it will supersede the general rules.

Terms & Conditions:

A minimum of 50% attendance and assignment submissions are required to be eligible to take final test and get certificates.
The certificates are typically issued within 30 days after course completion but if required urgently, please contact us.

LKI reserves the right to cancel any batch or change class days and timings. Though in such cases we will offer refund to the students who con't continue the course with changed timing.
Minimum 15 students are required to start a new batch. In case of lower enrollments, the batch start date can be extended by a few days.
LKI reserves the right to cancel classes on certain days in case of unforeseen circumstances, though in such situation, we will provide supplementary classes.
Admission cancellation/refund requests should be made latest till 48 hours before the class start date. After that no such request will be accepted. Example: If a course is starting from December 5, you can cancel your registration and ask for refund till December 3 and not after that.
However you can request to be shifted to a different level within 7 days from the course start date. No batch change requests will be accepted after 4 classes are over.
